INDIANA JONES Themed Bar to Swing Into Downtown Disney

The happiest place on earth is about to get a bit happier. Downtown Disney is adding the best themed bar to their shopping area. Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar will be the newest addition to Downtown Disney in Orlando, Florida, that will be have the theme of everyone’s favorite treasure hunter. The Indiana Jones themed bar will open-up shop this fall, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

The bar will include plenty of mementos from the films like postcards and posters. The name itself comes from Dr. Jones’s pilot from Raiders of the Lost Ark and, like the name suggests, will be somewhat plane-themed. Ceiling fans will look like plane propellers and a dry-docked steamboat named Reggie (named after Jock’s beloved snake) will be used as the patio.

All of that is fine and all, but to take things over the top, special themed food will bring the whole experience together, like the Rolling Boulder Meatballs. Pure genius. Of course, there will also be cocktails being served; it is a bar after all. The concept art looks absolutely brilliant, so I am sure this will become an instant hit as soon as it opens up. Make sure to get there early, though, because it will only sit 150 at a time. Considering the foot traffic in this location, that isn’t nearly enough.

This is fantastic news for the many visitors that travel to the happiest place on earth, but, ugh, Walt Disney World always gets the best attractions. Disneyland in Anaheim, California, on the other hand, always ends up with the short end of the stick. (Yes, this is a bit upsetting for us on the west coast.)

Disney is sure taking an initiative with all the partnerships they have garnered, maximizing them in every way possible. All I need now is for all of these themed restaurants and bars to migrate over the the other end of the country. Roll your way down to the comments section below and let us know what other themed bars you’d like to see at a theme park? There are plenty of franchises in Disney’s stable.
