We’ve seen our fair share of cool cosplay, but this Raiden getup is probably one of the best Metal Gear Solid cosplays we’ve ever seen. During Tokyo Game Show last week, Japanese Cosplayer Masazi — who frequents tons of cons and events as some pretty sweet characters — showed off her impressive outfit. Having a well-designed suit is one thing, but the working head piece takes it over the top. Wow.

As you can see in the videos above and below, the head piece lifts up and out once activated. The attention to detail is certainly worthy of a MGS game.

For those who don’t know who the character is, Raiden made his first appearance in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. The mercenary, special forces solider, and former child soldier has also shown up in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and the spinoff Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, of which he is the star.
Though Masazi doesn’t explain how she was able to create the separate pieces, there are several images to ogle at on both her Instagram and Facebook pages. According to her most recent post, she’s working on some sort of cosplay video that will be revealed soon.
