ILM Posts Reaction Video to ROGUE ONE Reaction Videos

While it’s true the internet can be a scary place sometimes, when people come together to celebrate something, it turns into a great place where emotions and excitement run rampant. Industrial Light and Magic, the visual effects company behind almost every big budget blockbuster you love, helped prove that statement.

The above video, posted on their YouTube page, is introduced by John Knoll, Chief Creative Officer of ILM. He is surrounded by the VFX crew of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the first of the spin-off movies that will be released alternately with the main Star Wars episodes. The team got wind of the many reaction videos to the first trailer for the movie and decided to flip the script a bit. The result is the team behind Rogue One reacting to the reaction videos of this new adventure in the Star Wars saga.

From the ones they watched, it was definitely a great idea, as the team cheered and laughed along as fans from all over the world were not shy in showing their excitement for the movie. Some of the highlighted moments were the first appearance of the Death Star, Mon Mothma, Donnie Yen kicking butt, and the beach battle (sounds like a volleyball game) against the AT-ATs. In no surprise at all, the teams favorite moments were when the fans complimented the look of the Star Destroyers, not being able to tell if they were CGI or actual models.

Try to get through the video without getting a smile on your face. It just feels good when we can all get pumped for the same thing.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story opens in theaters December 16, 2016.
