Are you still playing around with the 900+ Internet Archive arcade games that we were raving about on Thursday? Well then pull yourself away from those for a few minutes, and come check out some of Friday’s cool gaming developments! We’ve got lots to talk aboutâ from the big Zelda announcement from yesterday’s Nintendo Direct to one of the hands down best glitches to hit Destiny to date. And don’t worry, there will be no obligatory V for Vendetta lines dropped anywhere in this article. Let’s get it on!
Nintendo announces The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask for 3DS.
The Legend of Zelda: Marjora’s Mask is hands down the best game in Zelda history! Well, that’s just my opinion. But here’s an exciting fact: The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D is on its way to the Nintendo 3DS. The remake to the N64 classic will be launching in the US sometime in spring 2015, and though today’s Nintendo Direct was free of any bundle related announcements, I can almost guarantee that there will be a limited edition Majora’s Mask 3DS unit to coincide with the game’s release.
Other announcements from the big N included the addition of Duck Hunt to the Wii U Virtual Console, Amiibo figure support headed to Mario Kart 8, and a launch window for the game Splatoon (Q2 2015). It seems like we’re just getting over the influx of Super Smash Bros. Wii U news from last month, and Nintendo is steady dropping more bombs on us as we head into the holiday season. “Let us breathe, guys!” said the poor little exhausted wallet in my back pocket. Please say a prayer for her, she’s been working quite hard.
For those of you hanging in there on your Destiny grinds despite Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare taking the FPS scene by storm, we’ve got a sweet little Destiny treat for you! Youtube user Freke Out has made a tutorial video on how to “Sparrow Surf.” It sounds very cool, but it’s really just a glitch that triggers when a player hits the dance button while boarding a sparrow in rapid succession, which you can see for yourself in the video above.
I must say, this is probably the neatest glitch I’ve seen on Destiny thus far. Not sure if this is exactly what Beyoncé was implying in her song “Drunk In Love,” but this could definitely suffice as the G-rated version of said lyrics.

Duke Nukem 3D is reborn on the Vita and PS3.
Adding to the trend of classic games being remade for portable game systems, Devolver Digital announced that they’ll be bringing Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition to the PlayStation Vita and PS3. The game will launch in North America on January 13, and hit over in Europe on the next day. Though the Mac, PC and Linux versions of the game will currently run you $10 on steam with all the DLC included, no word on the price of the PlayStation versions of the Megaton Edition.
What’s most surprising to me is the fact that a PlayStation 4 version of the game was not announced. I’m not gonna’ lie, I’m a bit confused by this. Even with that said, though having the antics of the OG Duke Nukem on a big flatscreen is sure to appease many a classic PC gamer, I imagine there’s no better way to look at alien tits then from the comfort of the Vita’s sleek OLED screenâ that is, assuming you have the original “Frank Underwood model” of the portable.
