How Does Quicksilver Listen to Music?

Let’s be honest, the best scene in X-Men: Days of Future Past had nothing to do with the mutants we already knew. It was when the newbie Quicksilver dashed through a kitchen to “Time in a Bottle,” moving bullets as they flew and getting guards to punch themselves. But if we were experiencing what Quicksilver was as he ran, how the heck could we listen to a whole song in a few milliseconds of real time?

In my latest Because Science, I’m doing the math on how fast Quicksilver’s futuristic Walkman would have to play in order to deliver some classic Jim Croce in the blink of an eye. And the only way he can hear that blip of sound as a song goes back to my very first Because Science video!
