Hot Toys Brings the Man of Steel to Life (Again) with its SUPERMAN Figure

In the upcoming Action Comics #1000, Superman’s classic red trunks will return as part of his costume. That’s great for old-school fans, but what does it do for those that enjoy wearing their underpants on the INSIDE? Well, thanks to Hot Toys, you can still have a Superman with that darker, grittier fashion sense with the release of its latest one-sixth-scale figure in its Justice League line.

Like most of Hot Toy’s work, the figure is imbued with an eerie likeness of Henry Cavill, and has over 30 points of articulation. This version also comes with a head sculpt that features LED lights to simulate his heat vision. Not only does this look awesome, it’s a great way to passive-aggressively tell your friends and family when you are in a bad mood. (Note: neither of the head sculpts come with CGI mouths. They are 100% real.)

The figure also comes with eight interchangeable hands, his iconic red cape, and a Justice League figure stand that raises up so it looks like Supes is flying. Standing at 31.5cm (12.5 in) tall, he JUST misses being the tallest member of the Justice League. You can blame Batman’s ears for that.

You can check out more pictures in the gallery below, and can pre-order Superman from Sideshow Collectibles for $245 on their website here.
