Hot Topic’s BEAUTY AND THE BEAST Collection is a Tale as Old as Time

Hot Topic’s BEAUTY AND THE BEAST Collection is a Tale as Old as Time

Not feeling the attire you have in your closet for provincial life? Then hop on your horse—or you know, your car—and get thee to Hot Topic because they’ve revealed a new collection to complement the live-action Beauty and the Beast and I have one word to say to this: oui, oui, oui!

Bringing the Disney animated film to the live action world means a wardrobe full of different costume designs and lavish fabrics and embroidery. We’re seeing realistic versions of the cartoon styles from the early ’90s, and I’m here for it. As Entertainment Weekly brought to our attention, Hot Topic is putting their own spin on the ensembles with their versions of iconic pieces such as Belle’s yellow ball gown and Beast’s blue coat. Say bonjour to the pieces:

They still have an element of fancy, but you don’t have to wait until you have a ball on your calendar in order to don them. The detailed embroidery and embellishments make the dress and coat a little magical.

View the rest of the collection in the gallery below. You’ll find a burgundy cape inspired by the “Something There” scene, a blue dress covered in a print featuring character and quote elements from the film, a white flared coat inspired by Belle that I’m drooling over, and more. If you can’t resist the urge to shop but want to stay in your castle, you can peruse the enchanted line at Hot Topic’s website.

Which items in the Beauty and the Beast line are calling your name? Head to the comments and tell me what you’re adding to your shopping list.
