Horror Happenings: AMERICAN HORROR STORY: HOTEL Casting News and INSIDIOUS Returns to HHN

Welcome back to Horror Happenings! Let’s dive in as this week we’re bringing you some Halloween spirit a few months early…

Lily Rabe Is Back and Naomi Campbell Joins The Cast of AHS: Hotel

I don’t know about you, Horror Friends, but once the Fourth of July passes my mind declares summer finished and the countdown to Halloween begins. For the last few years, American Horror Story has been a big part of my gearing up for my favorite holiday season and this week we were treated to some interesting bits of casting news regarding the upcoming season, Hotel.

First, Entertainment Weekly broke the news that Lily Rabe who has been featured in all four seasons of AHS will once again appear on the show and she will be playing a serial killer who has been called a “famous murderer.” Fans are guessing that she could be playing Lavinia Fisher who many call the first female serial killer in America. Who do you all think Rabe will play? Tell us your theories in the comments!

Next we learned that Naomi Campbell, most recently seen on Fox’s hit series Empire, will be checking into the hotel, too. TVLine was the first with the scoop and explained that Campbell “will play a fashion editor who pays the ultimate price for her critiques. In addition to Gaga, she will also have scenes with returning AHS alum Angela Bassett.” Can’t wait!

Insidious to Haunt Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights 25

Speaking of Halloween, it wouldn’t be October without Universal Studios beloved Halloween Horror Nights spectacular taking over both the Orlando and Hollywood (and Singapore!) parks this fall. While we know that Freddy vs. Jason will be duking it out in Orlando and Crimson Peak will be lurking in Hollywood, it was just announced that the Insidious franchise will return to both of the US parks. Confirmed by franchise co-creator and Chapter 3 writer/director Leigh Whannell, the Insidious maze will include elements of all three films including The Lambert’s house, The Further, and we’re assuming The Man Who Can’t Breathe.

Be sure to stay tuned to Horror Happenings and Nerdist for all of your Halloween Horror Nights 25 updates!
