Splendid news is on the way for those that would like to get their Tekken fix. During their Comic-Con panel yesterday, Bandai Namco announced that Tekken 7 will be playable at select Dave & Busters and Round One locations. This gives fans an opportunity to get their hands on it for pleasure, or possibly even to practice for EVO 2016.
Unfortunately, only 6 locations have been predetermined so it might be hard to find one near your location. Keep your hopes up though that it will make it to other locations since it’s called the Tekken 7 arcade location test. Quite foreboding. Here are the lucky winners:
Dave and Buster’s New York
234 W. 42nd St., 3rd Floor
New York, NY 10036
Dave and Buster’s Dallas
9450 North Central Expressway
Dallas, TX 75231
Dave and Buster’s Milpitas
940 Great Mall Dr.
Milpitas, CA 95035
Round One Puente Hills Mall
1600 S.Azusa Ave, Suite 285
City of Industry, CA 91748
Round One South Center Mall
2351 South Center Mall
Tukwila, WA 98188
Round One Stratford Mall
152 Stratford Square
Bloomingdale, IL 60191
Most of the panel was focused on how the art’s production from start to finish. The amount of tedious work put behind the small, fine intricacies of a character was utterly impressive. While everything was being discussed, artist JBStyle was up there with the other panelists, but was working on an art piece using only a mouse. His quickness and artistic style was on point.
As of right now, the title has not been announced to be making its way onto home consoles, but that should eventually change. They’re using the Unity engine for this one, so porting it onto different platforms shouldn’t be a difficult task. Will you be testing the game out? Will you be competing at EVO 2015?
