We found itâthe first ever Kickstarter that will take everybody to the limit. Homestar Runner‘s Trogdor is getting his own board game of “burnination, majesty, and consummate Vs,” and it looks amazing. Seriously.
The Burninator is ready to destroy the countryside in a new cooperative game from the creators of Homestar Runner, the Brothers Chaps. The “area control game” will let two to six players “work together to help a beefy-armed dragon completely decimate a kingdom using unique powers and items all while avoiding knights and archers bent on stopping you.”

“You and up to five friends – or maybe people you just paid to come over – take on the roles of a cult of hooded creepos calling themselves the Keepers of Trogdor who have devoted their lives to aiding the mighty dragon in his quest for total and complete burnination.”
The game, whose playtime is listed at a tidy 30 to 45 minutes, will feature 25 double-sided thick cardboard terrain tiles and come with tons of great wooden meeples. That includes a Trogdor figure, which is worth the price of the game alone.
You can back the exciting item for as low as $40; there are also much more expensive options that promise to gift donors hand-crafted wooden boards. The game is expected to ship next June.
And as an amazing bonus for Homestar Runner fans who are curious about the actual gameplay, Strong Sad made a “Six Sadded, Die” video that will show you how the game works.
If you are losing your mind over this you are not the only one. The Kickstarter hasn’t absolutely demolished its $75,000 goal. With three weeks left in the campaign as of this writing, it sits at $750,000âthat’s 10 times what it needed to be funded, from over 12,000 backers. Given that the game blew by all of its original stretch goals, the team has added another one: If the game gets to 15,000 backers, it will unlock an alternate Trogodor meeple set based on the original Strong Bad email where the character first appeared.
Seriously, this looks so amazing, there’s only one way to celebrateâlight switch rave.
