Home Geekonomics: DOCTOR WHO Baby

Home Geekonomics is a series that features the best in geeky home decor, food and DIY. Each week will focus on a specific fandom and highlight the best of geek for your home and everyday life.

home geekonomicsThe Doctor Who universe is infiltrating late night! Next week on March 9, James Corden is taking over The Late Late Show. Some may recognize him from the brilliant tv mini-series The Wrong Mans, but Whovians will remember Corden as Craig Owen from Doctor Who episodes “The Lodger” and “Closing Time.”

Craig was the father of one Alfie Owens or as he’d rather be known, Stormageddon, Dark Lord of All. To celebrate one of our favorite non-companion companions, here’s a look at some absolutely adorable Doctor Who baby items. Push aside that nagging sense of spiritual emptiness, these will bring tears of joy to anyone with a love of Doctor Who and babies enjoying their 9-to-5 normal human life on Earth.

This takes crafting and geekdom to a whole new level. A custom-made stroller that is fashioned to look like Dalek Caan. You just can’t exterminate cuteness.

Baby Fat by Fabric Owl Creations-02262015Baby Fat Adipose Onesie by Fabric Owl Creations
The cutest thing about a newborn is baby fat, and the cutest fat is Adipose. This combo of the two will make your TARDIS spin.

The starkness of this beautiful print feels like a captured moment in space and time. Beautiful for the nursery wall of any Whovian parents. A crying Roman with a baby – definitely cool.

Doctor Who Stormaggedon outfit-02262015Stormageddon Onesie by PoshPlease
In case you don’t speak baby, this onesie spells it out for you. I can’t get over the adorableness of this onesie, though I’m pretty sure the adorableness of this baby has a lot to do with it too.

Doctor Who Quiet Book by BB-02262015Doctor Who Quiet Book by bb via epbot
Homemade geek books make the best baby shower gifts and this one gets the Whovian factor just right. Fun lessons include “Count the Adipose” and “Brush the Weeping Angel’s Teeth.” Hmmm, that last one is a bit frightening but even deadly statues need good oral hygiene I suppose.
