Holy S#@t! J.K. Simmons Has Gotten Ripped for JUSTICE LEAGUE

If there’s one big takeaway from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, besides never agreeing to drink Grandma’s peach tea ever again—or, really, any liquid served in a mason jar—it’s that muscle tone is real, it is aggressive, and it is all-encompassing. From Henry Cavill‘s form-fitting Superman suit to a scene where Ben Affleck shirtlessly hits a monster truck tire with a sledgehammer for no reason, the DC Extended Universe seems to be all muscle all the time. One of the new actors added to the upcoming Justice League movie, Oscar-winner J.K. Simmons, is apparently trying to play catch up. But nobody seems to have told him he’s playing Commissioner Gordon, not Old Thor.

As the caption above says, Simmons is 61 years old and he looks like that! He was in good shape to begin with, as we saw in the way he filled out a black t-shirt in Whiplash. But he now looks like he’s preparing to star in the sequel to Santa’s Slay, taking over the role previously assayed by Bill Goldberg. Who needs Batman when your top policeman is a ripped beefcake like this? The photos are from Simmons’ personal trainer Aaron Williamson. We saw the photo courtesy of Slashfilm, which also shared a few of Williamson’s photos from earlier in the training regime. You can see the progress, from normal in-shape male to professional viking.

Let us know what you think of Commissioner Gordon, bench-presser of evil, in the comments below!
