Hitmen And Ghouls Take Center Stage In The Next Episode of iZOMBIE

CW’s iZombie has been quite successful in its first two weeks. The show has averaged 2.2 million viewers in its first two episodes, a similar number Game Of Thrones put up with their first few, and pulled in mostly positive reviews from critics. In a world where zombie media has been highly saturated for a while, iZombie has actually been able to take a fresh approach to the classic monster. Creators Rob Thomas and Diane Ruggiero-Wright, who saw success before with their teenage-noir series Veronica Mars, have been able to capitalize on the plucky blonde solving crimes concept again, granted with the twist of her being a zombie that eats brains of murder victims for clues.

The shows cast, consisting of stars Rose McIver, Malcolm Goodwin, and Rahul Kohli have a chemistry that the characters more relatable, but also compliments the unique and quirky energy the show is built to run on. McIver is especially a treat to watch as Liv takes on parts of the personality of each person’s brain she eats, give her the ability to experience their past as they did.

The third episode airs this coming Tuesday and it looks like the zombies in Seattle are starting to pile up. While Liv (McIver) gets a taste of a hitman’s brain, Clive (Goodwin) discovers another zombie somewhere in an abandoned shipyard near where Liv was transformed into one of the undead herself. The clip above gives a quick look at the set up for the episode, but the one below takes a look behind the scenes as both Thomas and Ruggiero-Wright talk about what it has in store for fans.
