It’s what we’ve all been waiting for! Fans of the MOBA game genre and Blizzard Entertainment properties alike are in for a treat, as we finally have an official release date for Heroes of the Storm. The game has been in closed alpha and closed beta for more than a year, and has been massively fun for folks lucky enough to participate in the game’s testing phases. But now everyone can start preparing to mount up and soak that good ole XP beginning on June 2. At last, more people to show off my sick Tassadar skills and epic unicorn mount to!
But what if you’ve been dying to get your hands on the game for the eons it’s been in closed alpha and closed beta? Don’t think you’ll make it into June without exploding in anticipation? Then you’ll be happy to know that there will also be an open beta starting on May 19, preceding the game’s official launch. So you can get a head start on your soon-to-be newest addiction.
On April 26, the conclusion of the Heroes of the Dorm tournament will kick off in the Shrine auditorium here in LA, and a team of four college students will be rewarded with free rides through the rest of their college careers. The telecast will be aired on ESPN 3 and hosted by our very own Michele Morrow. Make sure to tune in to see the Heroic FourâArizona State, Boston College, Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and Cal Berkeleyâ battle to be crowned champion.
