Her Universe Has Adorable New SPIRITED AWAY and TOTORO Apparel

Wearing your fandom has never been easier. We live in what feels like a golden age for licensed apparel with manufacturers offering clothes, jewelry, and shoes for most popular franchises. I can walk into Hot Topic and choose from multiple Star Wars, Supernatural, and Doctor Who designs. What a world, kids. And thanks to the efforts of Ashley Eckstein’s Her Universe, I can often find apparel in lady sizes and cuts. The company has made strides in the world of geek fashion made for women, and they’ve added more and more franchises in their first five years. Titles from Studio Ghibli are among their most recent acquisitions, and they’ve just released several new selections at Hot Topic featuring those films.

The Spirited Away additions include Haku, Chihiro, and No-Face. The design just below has one of my favorite quotes from the film, “Once you meet someone, you never really forget them.”

If you need an excuse to add more t-shirts and tanks to your wardrobe, allow me to help. Choose something new to celebrate the upcoming release of The Collected Works of Hayao Miyazaki on Blu-ray (that’s happening on November 17 in case you want to mark your calendar).

Visit the gallery to see some designs inspired by My Neighbor Totoro and then head to Hot Topic to shop for all the Her Universe Studio Ghibli things–you could easily fill most of a drawer with the many options. And bonus: All products on the Hot Topic website are 25% off through August 3.
