HEARTHSTONE, DRAGON AGE: INQUISITION Among The Game Awards Nominees

It’s about that time of the year again, folks: that time where everyone starts reminiscing about the best and brightest of the video game batch for the year. We’ve had games that surprised us, like Wolfenstien: The New Order, and game’s that fell a bit short of our wild expectations, like Watch Dogs. But only a few of this year’s torrent of titles could be nominated for the coveted Game of The Year honor, and during a livestream today on the Game Awards Twitch channel, Geoff Keighley made the official announcement, along with nominees for other categories. Check out the broadcast and complete list for yourself right below:

The Game Awards will be honoring different titles, development studios, e-sports teams, and popular game enthusiast across over 20 different categories– the Game of The Year award being the highest honor of the event. The nominees for GOTY include the ridiculously difficult Dark Souls II, Blizzard‘s addicting card battle title Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft, the Tolkien-infused action game that took many by surprise Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, Nintendo’s most adult game ever Bayonetta 2, and the recently released Bioware RPG Dragon Age: Inquisition. I’d say this is quite a diverse list, especially in comparison to previous years. If I had to put my money on one of these to win, it would be on… well, I’ll wait until PLAY to dish out my thoughts on that.

Which game do you think will win Game of the Year? Are there any titles that you believe deserve to be on this list? Vote for yourself in the comments below.
