Head to the Real-Life Stars Hollow for the GILMORE GIRLS Fan Fest!

It’s a great time to be a Gilmore Girls fan, y’all. With four, new, 90-minute episodes releasing globally on Netflix on November 25 and the entire cast coming back to Stars Hollow, it basically feels like its 2007 all over again. Happily, it looks like things are getting even better for the GG fandom with an actual fan festival happening this October.

Hello Giggles first broke the story of this amazing event’s fast-talking and caffeinated goodness, and it looks amazing. The event, appropriately named the Gilmore Girls Fan Fest, is headed up by husband and wife—and Gilmore Girls superfans—Jennie and Marcus Whitaker. It will be October 21-23, and it will be held in the real-life city that inspired the creation of fictional Stars Hollow: Washington Depot, Connecticut.

So what can you expect at this celebration of our favorite mother-daughter duo? Basically, the weekend will be a fully immersive Gilmore experience. Promising plenty of coffee—no word if the diner owners will lecture you on the health dangers of caffeine—the area is perfect for fall enthusiasts with gorgeous east coast fall colors. Not only that, the weekend will be stuffed with the full Stars Hollow experience with events like a knit-a-thon, plenty of coffee, tea at the local inn, antique shopping, a screening of the series premiere and finale along with ten episodes voted on by attendees, coffee, trivia, cake tasting, and oh, did we mention there will be plenty of coffee?

While getting to spend the weekend in IRL Stars Hollow with a bunch of other fans would be rad, the fun doesn’t stop there. The festival has put the word out to the entire Gilmore Girls cast, and offered them all an open invitation to attend. So far it looks like a handful of the cast will actually be there! You can expect appearances from Jackson Douglas, Rini Bell, Aris Alvarado, Biff Yeager, Kelly Bishop, Yanic Truesdale, Vanessa Marano, and Ted Rooney—and hopefully more!

So how can you get your golden ticket to this magical experience dedicated to one of the most-loved shows of the early aughts? You’ve gotta move fast, because tickets are, understandably, limited. Jump on the Gilmore Girls Fan Fest website to snag either a general or VIP ticket for the weekend. Info about lodging can also be found on the site.

Are you going to go to the Fan Fest? What activity do you think sounds like the most fun? Grab your coffee, and let’s talk about it in the comments!
