HBO Celebrating HARRY POTTER Movies With “Hogwarts House Challenges” Trivia Contest

Freeform‘s Harry Potter movie marathon weekend might have been hit with the Killing Curse, but just like Harry sacrificed himself to save everyone else, it died so that a commercial-free experience could live on at HBO. And to celebrate all eight movies joining their collection, the network has announced a three-city “Hogwarts House Challenges” that will test fans knowledge about the franchise while letting them see some real props from the films.

HBO has announced the traveling trivia and exhibit for this month, which will let “the most dedicated Harry Potter fans” show much they know about the Boy-Who-Lived, with trivia contests and other challenges. Starting in Atlanta on January 18th, it will then head to Boston on January 25th, before ending in Denver on January 31st. In each city “event prizes will be awarded for Best Costume, Best Team Photo, and more.”

Fans will also get to see real props from the films, including:

  • Tom Riddle’s diary with Basilisk fang
  • Lucius Malfoy’s “Caught” poster
  • Horace Slughorn’s hourglass
  • Bellatrix Lestrange’s dagger
  • “Magical Drafts and Potions” textbook

If you hope to attend, “a limited number of tickets will be available on HBO’s Facebook page in the coming days,” so keep your (mad) eyes out for an announcement.

And after watching all of those Freeform marathons we’d put our Harry Potter movie knowledge up against anyone. How good are you at Harry Potter trivia? Are you willing to take your OWL exams at the “Hogwarts House Challenges?” Tell us why in the comments below.
