HARRY POTTER’s First 5 Soundtracks Are Getting a Massive Vinyl Box Set

Just as magical as the spells, creatures, and worlds of the Harry Potter movies is the music. Composed by the likes of John Williams, Patrick Doyle, Nicholas Hooper, and Alexandre Desplat, the scores of these films were paramount in transporting us directly into the wonderful realm of Hogwarts. And now, we’ll be able to enjoy the tunes of Harry Potter in the form of a huge vinyl box set!

Via NME, Rhino has revealed its plans for Harry Potter Original Motion Picture Soundtracks I-V,  a limited edition box set that includes the score for each of the first five films on 10 LPs. Movie music maestro John Williams wrote the soundtracks for the first three: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Patrick Doyle brought a darker tone to the soundtrack for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, while Nicholas Hooper scored Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

As you can see in the picture above, each of the soundtracks comes in a gatefold sleeve that is die-cut on both sides. Each of the LPs include pictures from their respective films, except Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, which will have an etching on the last LP.

Harry Potter Original Motion Picture Soundtracks I-V will be released on November 17, and hopefully we will eventually get a box set for the remaining soundtracks in the series.
