The holiday season means bright lights and Christmas trees everywhere you go, and in many homes it also means setting up those idyllic little towns where everyone is blissfully playing in the snow and visiting Santa Claus. They are a glimpse at a magical world during the most wonderful time of the year, but they have always been lacking one thing: actual magic.
This December, you’ll be able to celebrate both your love of Christmas and your favorite wizarding world, with a new Harry Potter Village Collection that wouldn’t look out of place if you also had them on display during Halloween.
This new set of “highly detailed, lighted buildings” from Department 56 (that we came across at PopSugar) will especially delight fans of the Boy Who Lived who demand authenticity, because they were designed using “exact specifications from the movie studio to create an unbelievably lifelike experience.”
The collection includes recreations of Hogwarts, Hagridâs Hut, Ollivanders Wand Shop, and Harry chasing the snitch during a game of Quiddich. It also features pairs of figures, with Harry and Dumbledore, Hagrid and Buckbeak, and Ron and Hermione.
They range from $32.50 to $180 and will be available in October, but if you plan on bringing these home or giving them as a gift this December, you might want to reserve yours now before they sell out.
Without any specific Christmas-related elements to them, these are also perfect for celebrating Halloween. And then you can just leave them out for Thanksgiving. And then Easter and the Fourth of July and Labor Day and you know what there’s really no reason you can’t decorate your home with these for every holiday. We can always use some magic in our lives.
What other Harry Potter locale or characters would you love to see join this collection? Tell us in the comments below.
