You see what I did there? Yeah, that was a good one. In honor of “Doctor Who: A Christmas Carol” (Michael Gambon! Yeeeee!) â but mostly in honor of my dual obsessions with Doctor Who and cookie-based structures â I present to you: the gingerbread TARDIS!
If you’re interested in making your own, Livejournal user therru has an amazingly detailed blog entry about how to make one, including measurements for the different pieces and a great recipe for the gingerbread.
Unfortunately, there’s no recipe for a life-sized Matt Smith recipe at the link…

WOW!!! If there are kids in the house, they’re so going to have a ball playing with that as they eat it (exploding TARDIS, monster-eaten TARDIS, etc.etc.). Suppose adults would too. And I thought I was so clever for figuring out how to make a tiny Lego TARDIS this year…
That is very cool, and now I’m dreaming about nibbling on Amy Pond (I don’t care is she’s married, dammit)
Uncanny Expat’s comment for the win. This looks great.
That’s awesome!
Now it feels like Christmas!!! I need one of these for my Dr. Who Christmas special viewing party.
Dang. Lisa G just beat me to the best comment ever 😉
And I really really really want to make this now =)
This is fantastic! Now I have to figure out how to make a Dalek out of gingerbread and candy canes….
This is so cool! I want to nose-dive into it.
And now I’m daydreaming about nibbling on Matt Smith.
Yummy.
That is fantastic! Can has?
The hard part is making it bigger on the inside.
wow, I think I just might make the ginger bread Tardis while using the Dalek “EXTERMINATE!” as my alert tone.
