There’s a ton of stuff that we’re still trying to understand about Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. Like, how did Handsome Jack ever exist as anything other then the evil, narcissistic lunatic we know him as? Or even better: why does Claptrap need an oxygen pack if he’s a frickin’ robot?

Well, thanks to a Gamescom trailer that dropped this morning, we’re getting a little more information on the band of misfits assembled by Handsome Jack. They may be the farthest thing from “the good guys,” but you can bet your ass we’re going to enjoy saving the moon as them. Let’s have a look at this new trailer, shall we?

Um, okay? So I’m going to go ahead and ask this question for all the Borderlands fans out there who are assuredly pondering the same thing: why the hell is Clap Trap sprouting these Siren wings?

Is this some kind of joke? Or will Claptrap be assuming the role of the Siren class– a class that’s been present in every Borderlands game thus far but not yet revealed in The Pre-Sequel– this time around? Way to give us more to wrap our heads around, Gearbox/2K Australia. Looks like we’ll have to keep our optical lasers locked on the developers until they give us the full details on Claptrap’s abilities and backstory.
