HALO 5 Will Feature Some Changes to Covenant Vehicles

We are all counting down the days until Halo 5: Guardians is released on Xbox One, and 343 Industries is building up the hype with their latest Cannon Fodder column post. In the upcoming game, the purple-clad vehicles that so many have come to know better than their own family vehicle will be getting updates in both physical appearance, as well as performance. The gang over at 343 have a reason for it, though, and its not just because they want things to be different.

“During Halo 5: Guardians, the Sangheili are embroiled in a massive civil war that tears apart their homeworld of Sanghelios. In these tumultuous times both the Covenant and Swords of Sanghelios have reopened long-dormant manufacturing facilities and turned to allied colonies to provide much-needed vehicles and munitions.”

Every vehicle will have don different features, and they will be part of what makes the experience in Halo 5 stand out for the other games in the series. Ghosts will offer players higher performance and greater protection for incoming fire, while the aerial banshees will actually have a shield on them now. The one that may cause the most players to curse in frustration while making their way through the campaign, however, will be the Wraith tank. The Wraith will now be a bit smaller and more agile, making it a more deadly foe. Something tells me that many people will be run over by these while charging in and attempting to blow them up like the good old days. Take a look at the gallery below for a glimpse at each vehicle’s change in aesthetics, and be sure to head over to the game’s blog post for the full run down of what to expect in the upcoming adventure.

Halo 5: Guardians releases exclusively on Xbox One on October 27. Let us know what you think of the changes in the comments below.
