HALO: 5 GUARDIANS Launching In October! There Are 2 New Trailers!

A couple of times during a crazy The Walking Dead episode, Halo’s #HuntTheTruth campaign continued its on-air presence with a brand new trailer two brand new trailers! The second trailer is posted at the bottom of the post. Last week, we delved into what #huntthetruth revealed itself to be. Now, just a week after the countdown ended, we have a solid release date for Guardians. The game will be hitting shelves on October 27th, which is a full month earlier than I was expecting. I just assumed we were looking at a Thanksgiving-ish release. In time for Black Friday, and earlier than Christmas so parents, bfs, gfs, etc., could pre-plan their gift purchasing.  But no! We’re getting it before Halloween!

u ok, bro?

Along with the new trailers, a second audio diary was released earlier today as well. Technically last week’s diary was “episode zero” since it served as an introduction primer. Tonight’s episode, which we’ve posted below, is the official first episode.

The text that accompanied the first trailer tonight on #HuntTheTruth was “There are 2 sides to every story.” The second trailer played out exactly the same as the first, but reversed the roles. Master Chief was looking down on a battle-fatigued Spartan Locke, instead of the other way around. I know that Spartan Locke will be a playable character, and the interchanged scenarios in the trailers makes me wonder just how much of the independent campaigns will be playable with both characters, instead of either/or.
