Get Ready for Halloween with New Line of Slasher Movie Apparel from Mondo

Although it still feels much like summer in many parts of the country, the truth is that fall is actually right around the corner, and with fall comes Halloween season. And could there possibly be a better way to celebrate the most wonderful and scariest time of the year than with these amazing new series of sweaters, cardigans, and scarves? They all celebrate the major slasher horror icons of yesteryear, Halloween’s Michael Myers, Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th, and Freddy Krueger from A Nightmare On Elm Street.

The new items come from Mondo, the company best known for making cool, limited edition movie posters, and are designed by the company Middle of Beyond. Each highlights one of the “Holy Trinity” of slasher movie killers in different ways. (Sorry Chucky, but you don’t quite make it into that upper echelon of slashers, and Leatherface….well, you’re in your own weird category. Maybe next year.)

The Friday the 13th and Halloween sweaters and scarves each bear imagery and the logo from their respective franchises, while those for A Nightmare on Elm Street showcase the most famous sweater-wearing monster in pop culture, Freddy Krueger, recreating his own infamous red and green sweater. And to keep with tradition from the movies, there are two versions of the Freddy sweater: one with the stripes only on the chest from Wes Craven’s original film, and some extending to the arms, as in the later sequels. Just as cool, the Jason sweater comes in a classic style and a retro 8-bit glow-in-the-dark version.

The sweaters are priced at $85.00, ($75.00 for the cardigan) while the scarves come in at $40.00. They’re available for sale right now at Mondo’s site, but you better hurry, as they’re sure to sell out in no time. You can check out each of these items in our gallery below.
