GUARDIANS VOL. 2 Gains SONS OF ANARCHY Vet

2016 is only 2 months in and here we are excited for what 2017 has to offer. A little over a week ago, Marvel announced that principal photography had begun for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. The James Gunn-directed follow-up to the 2014 runaway smash has our favorite alien team ready for another adventure. Now they are adding another name to an already impressive cast.

Tommy Flanagan, who played Filip “Chibs” Telford on FX’s Sons of Anarchy has joined the cast as a member of the Ravagers. Considering all he went through as part of SAMCRO, dealing with Yondu, Quill, or even Rocket should be a walk in the park.

Flanagan joins a number of new cast members, including Pom Klementieff as Mantis. Also joining the cast are Elizabeth Debicki, Chris Sullivan, Kurt Russell, and Steve Agee.

Glenn Close will be returning as Nova Prime, as will Michael Rooker as Yondu, the leader of the Ravagers.

Considering how great the first movie was, these casting choices are definitely sending Vol. 2 on its way to surpassing its predecessor. Sons of Anarchy AND Kurt Russell? How can you go wrong?

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, and Vin Diesel opens in theaters May 5, 2017.

So what do you think? Are you as excited as we are for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2? When will they just admit they’re going to team up with the Avengers sooner than later? Let me know on Twitter or sound off in the comments below.
