GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL 2 Villain Revealed…Probably

Before we get far into this–or even into this at all–we’re going to throw the big fat “Speculation” tag on it, seeing as it’s sourced to an outlet that isn’t us directly. Please read ahead with that in mind.

Of all the secrecy involved in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the film that’s remained the most secretive is the highly anticipated Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2. We know that Mantis (Pom Klementieff), Taserface (Chris Sullivan), and Tullk (Tommy Flanagan) will be in the movie, and that Sylvester Stallone, Kurt Russell, and Elizabeth Debicki will play as-yet-undisclosed characters. A new report by Joblo now maintains that the main villain of the piece will be none other than Ayesha.

For those not in the know, the celestial being Ayesha has gone by a number of different names including Paragon, Kismet, and Her, the latter of which being the character’s first moniker. Ayesha was created by the Enclave, a group of scientists who tried to create perfect genetic beings to take over and repopulate the world. The first of these was Him, who eventually became the character Adam Warlock, who was a member of the Guardians for a time and who has become a very powerful and important character, who may or may not show up in the greater MCU cosmic titles, possibly even Avengers: Infinity War.

Kismet-Guardians

As far as who will play Ayesha, it seems almost a no-brainer to assume that the statuesque blonde-haired Debicki will be playing the statuesque blonde-haired super being. This is by no means confirmed, and in fact, they’ve gone out of their way NOT to confirm such things, but we agree with Joblo‘s assumption on that front.

Let us know what you think of this news, and what Ayesha’s inclusion in the MCU could mean for the future of the franchise…in the comments below!

We speculate on the Guardians’ next foe in the comments below!
