GRODD IS COMING In A New Teaser Trailer For CW’s THE FLASH

The Flash series on the CW has only been around for half a season, and already we’ve been introduced to live action versions of many key members of Flash’s rogue’s gallery, one of the best collections of villains outside of Batman and Spider-Man’s in all of comics. So far we’ve seen Captain Cold, Heatwave, Pied Piper and the Reverse Flash on the show, and they even found a way to use the Rainbow Raider without making him ultra cheesy.

However, one of the biggest and most powerful of Barry Allen’s classic enemies has been MIA so far-Gorilla Grodd, the super intelligent (and telepathic) talking gorilla with a deep hatred for humans. Even though there were hints of Grodd’s existence in the pilot episode of the series, many thought that a hyper-intelligent talking ape was something we wouldn’t get the chance to see on television, simply for budget reasons. Would fans ever get to see the Scarlet Speedster take on Grodd??

Turns out the answer is yes, as the CW has released a teaser trailer indicating we will indeed be seeing Grodd, and a whole lot sooner than we thought, and it looks like he’ll be wrapped up in storylines with both the secretive Dr. Harrison Wells and General Wade Eiling, played by fan favorite character actor Clancy Brown. (Clancy Brown, of course, was the voice actor behind Lex Luthor on the Superman and Justice League Unlimited animated series, where he was partnered up with Gorilla Grodd on many occasions. It all comes full circle.) There’s still no specific episode or date announced quite yet for when we might see a a full fledged Grodd appearance, but based on this teaser it’s safe to say it’ll be very, very soon. Check out the trailer below.

I like the tv FLASH, mainly, and the arrival of an intelligent, talking (?) monkey going against a guy in red running really fast scatches my DC itch much more than the ‘UnBatman’ or ‘Pre-Batmanville’ shows.
Wish they don’t “Smallville”-ize and drag out the lovestory or  Nu52 the main villain into overcomplexity, though…

Didn’t Grodd appear briefly a few episodes ago?
