BIG NEWS Back to the Future fans, a.k.a. literally everyone in the entire world. While it’s looking unlikely that we’ll have hoverboards, dehydrated pizza, or fifteen more Jaws sequels by October 21st (the day Marty McFly arrived in 2015, duh), it’s starting to look a lot like Nike‘s actually going to have their self-lacing sneakers on sale! That’s right — the days of tying your own shoes like some sort of idiot caveman will soon be a thing of the past once this bit of movie magic becomes footwear fact.

We previously reported that Nike was working on Back to the Future-style back in February 2014. Nike designer Tinker Hatfield was quoted as saying, “Are we gonna see power laces in 2015? To that, I say YES!”
