Graph Depicts Which Medium Has The Deadliest Zombies

Everyone has their plans for what to do if the zombie apocalypse ever occurs, but there is one major flaw with all of them; no one has a plan for every type of zombie apocalypse. It’s easy picturing yourself as Daryl Dixon if The Walking Dead ever turned out to be real, but that attitude probably won’t work if your apocalypse is more like 28 Days Later, or the Resident Evil games.

Reddit contributor zonination recognized this issue, and decided to do something about it. Inspired by a fun graphic created by Yahoo! Movies, zonination took to Reddit to find out what form of zombie media had the most dangerous undead in it.

First, zonination took to the subreddit known as r/samplesize and asked for people to submit various movies, TV shows, and video games that involve zombie danger. After compiling the 13 most popular answers, zonination set out to have members of r/samplesize rank the zombies in each one by speed, strength, and intelligence. These two surveys resulted in in this first set of graphs:

From these 13 graphs, zonination was able to map where the zombies in each of the 13 answers ranked in intelligence and strength. The little red cross in each graph marks the average position for those zombies, and all of those averages were then collected into one final picture.

So, now everyone can see that preparing for a Walking Dead style apocalypse, with its slow and stupid zombies, is preparing for one of the easiest possible zombie outbreaks.

Sorry, Daryl.
