Haven’t you ever dreamed of running through the streets of your hometown, be-jumpsuited like a regular ol’ Dr. Egon Spengler, slaying any and all ghosts that came your way because you simply are not afraid of them? Well if you’ve got a cool $20,000 lying around, those dreams can become your reality because there’s an auction of Harold Ramis’ jumpsuit from Ghostbusters II going on right now.
Happening now through December 16th, the coverall jumpsuit has a bona fide “Spengler” patch embroidered on the chest, and a Ghostbuster II patch on the right shoulder.
As for the additional details? The thing proves its legitimacy in those very things. The label from Flight Suits Ltd. is sewn into the interior with “Harold Ramis” written on the washing instructions panel — aww! It’s like when mom writes your name on your Underoos before going to camp — only for adults.
If you’re looking to wear this thing, you should know the jumpsuit measures 67″ from shoulder to bottom (teehee), with an inseam that measures 30″. The sleeves are a solidly lengthed 27″ and it’s in pretty good condition, all things considered. I mean, Ramis DID battle some pretty serious ghoulies in that thing. The suit comes from the private collection of producer Michael C. Gross, an executive producer on both Ghostbusters films in addition to Kindergarten Cop, Beethoven, and Twins. So, you know, basically your entire early nineties cinematic childhood.
