We’ve all done something right because another story by Neil Gaiman is being adapted into a television miniseries. Good Omens, which is actually by Gaiman and the late Sir Terry Pratchett found a different kind of home on Amazon. A New Take. Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett’s Good Omens was published in 1990, and now, many years later, the story is coming to the screen. Amazon and BBC are set to make a six episode miniseries adaptation of the story. I think a hallelujah and a huzzah is appropriate here. Gaiman is set as showrunner on the series, and he’ll be writing the scripts. So in other words, fans shouldn’t sweat a thing. Read more about the adaptation here at Nerdist.
Sci-Fi Option. February 5 is Super Bowl Sunday, but if you’re not interested in watching football, Comet TV has another option for you: Mystery Science Theater 3000! Robots instead of players—why not? Comet’s airing a six episode marathon beginning at 10:00a.m. ET on the day of the game. You can treat it like the Super Bowl and make plenty of snacks. Greenlight. Amazon’s Sneaky Pete only recently debuted on Prime Video, but it made an impression. Amazon’s already given the show starring the likes of Giovanni Ribisi and Bryan Cranston a second season. We’ll likely see season two drop in 2018. [Slashfilm]
Picking On Up. ABC has nabbed two pilots for development. TVLine reports they’ve ordered The Crossing, a time-traveling conspiracy tale, and Deception, a drama focusing on a magician who helps the FBI solve crimes (Greg Berlanti’s on board as executive producer for this one). Gilmore + Fletcher 4Eva. Have you ever wondered what it would be like if Jessica Fletcher from Murder, She Wrote dropped by for a visit with Lorelai and Rory in Gilmore Girls? I admit the idea hadn’t crossed my mind before this comic, but now? It’s a crossover I need to see. Meet the Queen. Characters who didn’t get to speak in Disney’s Tangled will have the opportunity to do so in Tangled: The Series–characters like Queen Arianna. Though Ashley Judd was cast in the role for the animated series, they’ve decided to go in a different direction and have hired Julie Bowen (Modern Family) as the voice of Rapunzel’s mom. [Deadline]

One Nation on Netflix. Okay, House of Cards fans. Who’s ready for season five? Excellent news because Netflix has announced the premiere date. The show will return on May 30.
