Golf Course Has a New Member–An Enormous Monster Alligator

If you’ve never played a round of golf, it’s understandable that you might not get the appeal of the game–it’s expensive, frustrating, and quite difficult to get any good at. However, there are few activities that match the beauty and serenity of hitting the links on a picture perfect day and having some fun on a meticulously kept green sanctuary.

Unless a giant freaking monster alligator has decided to make the course its home, which is apparently what is going on at the Buffalo Creek Golf Club in Palmetto, Florida.

The video above was filmed by golfer, and obvious lunatic who doesn’t know when to run for his life, Charlie Helms. That gator is so large it doesn’t seem real. In the video you can hear Helms say, “I think that’s two guys in an alligator suit,” before sending his even nuttier friend Dave closer “to get some perspective.”

Here’s some perspective for you guys, get the **** away from any alligator, let alone one that looks to have been enlarged by some mutant X-ray machine. In the video the gator is estimated at 15 feet in length, and likely looks so big thanks to the weird perspective from the camera and the undulating course, but my guess is something closer to 200.

I also would have guessed that the club called in the army to take care of this beast after this sighting, but they told The Independent he shows up all the time, and even likened him to a beloved “mascot” that doesn’t bother the customers.

A giant gator spends all of his time at a golf course, but has never been seen with a golf club? Am I the only that realizes he ate his caddy? Golf is a great game, but when a hazard can literally devour you I’d probably play tennis instead.

Would you golf at this course with the giant gator? Tell us why in the comments below.
