Do you ever wonder what it’d be like if Godzilla ran amok in your hometown? Apparently, so does Godzilla director Gareth Edwards. Edwards is asking fans to produce and submit short videos of their reactions to Godzilla attacking their hometown. Legendary Pictures will be compiling the best reaction videos in what they are dubbing the Ultimate Godzilla Montage.
Edwards encourages fans to get creative as possible with this, noting that animation and stop motion are well within bounds. Fans are encouraged to include the recognizable geographical landmarks of your region in the video, but are presumably discouraged from actually destroying them in the process of filming. For all those cool kids with pet iguanas out there, this is pretty much the perfect opportunity to give your reptilian friend his or her cinematic debut.
The deadline for video submissions is May 9th, so you’d be wise to start scouting locations now. You can find more details on how to submit here.
