Go Behind the Scenes on LIMITLESS at New York Comic Con

Few things are better than sitting down with actors from wonderful shows and finding out that they are just as nerdy about the movies and shows at New York Comic Con as you are. That’s basically what happened when I met Limitless‘s Jake McDorman and executive producer Craig Sweeney this morning. The very first thing we talked about was two-wheel scooters and how they’re decidedly not hoverboards.

Limitless, if you’re not familiar, is an adaptation of the 2011 film starring Bradley Cooper. Unlike many adaptations, the show does not directly adapt the movie. Instead it tells an adjacent story, with Bradley Cooper executive producing and bringing his film character Edward Morra back to life from time to time. Jake McDorman plays Brian Finch, the new recipient of the mysterious mind-altering drug NZT and he’s teamed up with Jennifer Carpenter‘s FBI Agent Rebecca Harris. Together they solve crimes even the FBI can’t figure out—thanks to his fully expanded and utilized brain power.

Above, you can check out the New York Comic Con exclusive behind the scenes look at Limitless. It includes interviews with Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Carpenter, and Jake McDorman as well as a deeper look at this world. McDorman talked this morning about working on this adaptation that runs alongside the original story—it starts up four years after the movie—and how it might answer some questions that fans had about Cooper’s Morra character. Both he and Sweeney pointed out that Morra is not necessarily a good guy; they called him a “free agent” and implied that we’ll see or at least hear more from him in the future.

While you’re waiting for the series to premiere this fall, why don’t we all ponder what kind of miracle drug we’d create if we were the government in the comments.

Are you excited for Limitless? Let us know!
