The first trailer for M. Night Shyamalan‘s newest film Glass just premiered at San Diego Comic-Con and there’s already so much to unpack! Take a look:
Talk about a crossover for the ages! Glass reunites characters from Shyamalan’s Unbreakable and Split, with the villains of those two filmsâSamuel L. Jackson‘s Elijah Price, a.k.a. “Mr. Glass,” and James McAvoy‘s Kevin Wendell Crumbâteaming up to wreak havoc on the outside world, while Bruce Willis‘ David Dunn tries to stop them. Sarah Paulson rounds out the cast as Dr. Ellie Staple, a psychiatrist who specializes in patients who believe they are superheroes. Split‘s Anya Taylor-Joy also returns.
You might call Glass a different kind of superhero movie than is typical of recent Comic-Con panels. “This is not a cartoon, this is the real world,” says Samuel L. Jackson’s Mr. Glass in the trailer. “And yet some of us still don’t die with bullets. Some of us can still bend steel. I have been waiting for the world to see that we exist.”
The Glass trailer brought the house down in Hall H, with first responses noting its unique spot in the superhero movie world.
No hyperbole: this looks like the first genuinely *interesting* superhero movie in many, many years

We can’t wait to see what other surprises Glass has in store. The film is currently set for January 18, 2019, so there’s plenty of time to get even more hyped!
