In case you haven’t heard the news, Boy Meets World, the insanely awesome cult comedy from the 90s about a boy trying to navigate the trials of growing up, is getting a sequel series (from creator Michael Jacobs) on Disney Channel, Girl Meets World. The new series follows the adventures of Cory Matthews and Topanga Lawrence’s daughter, Riley.
Today, the network has released a new 60 second promo for the series:
In addition, the premiere date of the new series has been announced to be 9:45e on June 27th, following the premiere of the original TV movie, Zapped!
Now that this series is a reality, here’s hoping this new series is just as witty and full of life as its predecessor.

Do you realize that they don’t need to have control over Youtube, because the uploaders are who control where it is available, not Youtube. But you’re right, Nerdist can’t control it either way, so
@ Veronica
You can always use VPN, there is an extension called ‘Hola’. You should give it a try.
I remember when the little sister (megan I think) went upstairs and a few episodes later came down a different actress and they made a joke of it on the show.
I don’t have cable so I better be able to watch this online.
I loved Boy Meets World as a kid, but I don’t see this going very far. It’s just going to be another Disney Channel goofy show geared toward 6-12 year olds. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great premise and I hope it works, but I don’t believe it’s target audience is the original viewers of the show.
I’ll watch it, three episodes never killed anyone. Can yall haters hate harder please?
this is only on nerdist because of that one time where chris hardwick was on an episode of boy meets world
Looks like a cut and paste Disney show without any of the heart of the original.
I can’t wait for Farkle to be written out of the show ala Mincas
Do they live in the Brady house? ‘Cus that’s their stairs.
@Veronica
You.. do realize that Nerdist does not have control over Youtube, right?
Please make the video available in Europe! Okay thnx bye.
I’m a bit disappointed that their kids aren’t Plankton and Chewbacca 😉
No subtlety, overacting, par-for-the-course.
I CAN’T WAIT!!!!!!!!
