It’s hard to watch Gilmore Girls and not imagine getting a cup of coffee from Luke’s Diner. If it were a real place, I would have made the trek to Stars Hollow because Lorelai and Rory make Luke’s coffee sound that delicious. My dream of getting coffee from Luke is sort of coming true because actor Scott Patterson is developing his own coffee brand. If the packaging for this coffee isn’t a plaid flannel print, he’s missing out.

In an interview with WealthManagement.com (which came to our attention via Entertainment Weekly), Patterson revealed he’s nearly ready to launch his new company. The idea of a coffee brand makes sense for Patterson, because unlike Luke, Patterson enjoys the caffeinated beverage. “Quality coffee is something that I am obsessed with. It’s the thing I look forward to every morning and throughout the day and throughout the evening and now throughout the middle of the night,” he said.

I know those feels so very well. Now we just need him to invest in a coffee cake company.

The name of the brand is Scotty P’s Big Mug Coffee. Given the following Patterson has from Gilmore Girls fans who know him as the character who provides the coffee and keeps the town of Stars Hollow going, he should be able to reach a large base. I, for one, can’t wait to learn more and try it just because of the Gilmore Girls connection. If it turns out to be delicious, that’s just icing on the cake.
