We are far too excited for the upcoming supernatural comedy on Fox starring Craig Robinson and Adam Scott, Ghosted. The show aims to be a hilarious take on the paranormal and, if these promotional posters are any indication, they’re on track to lampoon every sci-fi thing we love.
A recent post on Bloody Disgusting brought these mock posters to our eyeballs and we can’t help but love them. The designs spoof classic horror movie posters for 1979’s Alien, 1982’s Poltergeist, and the 1986 Jeff Goldblum masterpiece that is The Fly.
In addition to Robinson and Scott being photshopped into each poster, the taglines are also slightly tweaked except for Poltergeist‘s (because why mess with perfection, right?) Alien‘s “In space no one can hear you scream.” became “In Los Angeles a lot of people can hear you scream.” and The Fly‘s “Be afraid. Be very afraid.” was changed to “Be afraid, Be kind of afraid.” which seems to suit the tone of the show perfectly.
These images only add our eagerness to see the comedic pair in their “unlikely partnership between two down-on-their-luck polar opposites tasked with an even more unlikely mission: saving the human race from aliens.”  Ghosted is written by Tom Gormican (That Awkward Moment) and directed by long-time writer/director of Baskets, Kroll Show, and Portlandia, Jonathan Krisel.
