Get Your Own METAL GEAR SOLID V Bionic Arm

Despite the summer coming to an end, there are still tons of conventions going on all across the country, and that means there are still plenty of opportunities to show off your new Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain cosplay. For those who have taken on the task of portraying Big Boss himself, a shop on Etsy is looking to lend you a hand. Well, more like sell you a hand.

Starside Armory is offering this awesome-looking glove and arm set to use as the bionic arm for the protagonist of the latest Metal Gear Solid release. With pieces made of Smooth-Cast 300, the arm is offered in four varieties based on price and assembly.

For only $50 you can purchase the casted pieces of the arm as a raw cast to paint and assemble onto your own glove. This is the cheapest way, as well as the most likely to yield the results you want in style and size. Starside Armory also offers the piece pre-painted, attached to their own glove, or fully assembled and painted. The ready-to-go version runs $100, and while it saves on time it also runs the risk of being too big, or too small, or other possible issues.

So, now all you need is to get your hands on some BDUs, an eyepatch, a bit of shrapnel, and a nice bit of stubble to bring the head of Mother Base to life. Riding around on a horse will win you extra points, but most convention centers will probably frown upon that.

Looking to pull of a Big Boss cosplay? Already have one? Let us know! Send us pictures! Just want the arm to wear around the house? That’s cool too! Let us know!
