As a film music composer, John Williams is in a class of his own.
With a career that spans 58 years, Williams has composed scores for over 80 movies and television series on top of several studio albums. Many of the most beloved cinema soundtracks were composed by Williams, including the themes for Jaws, Superman, E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial, Schindler’s List, and many, many more.
For the record, Williams is a 5-time Oscar winner, a 3-time Emmy winner, and the winner of 22 Grammy Awards. And with 49 Oscar nominations, Williams is second only to Walt Disney as the most nominated individual in film history.
Williams has also worked closely with director Steven Spielberg for decades, and scored all but two of Spielbergâs films. Williams is also returning to the Star Wars franchise later this year as the composer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Multi-talented musician Ace Waters pays tribute to the legacy of John Williams in the latest episode of his Youtube series, Geektronica. For the John Williams Medley, Waters covers selections of Williamsâ music from Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, Harry Potter, Hook, and Star Wars.
