The first looks at characters from Fox’s upcoming Batman-prequel series, Gotham, continue with our first taste of the series’ version of criminal genius, Oswald Cobblepot, a/k/a The Penguin:

According to Superhero Hype, the description for the character is: “Oswald Cobblepot has the brains of a chess grandmaster and the morals of a jackal. A low-level psychopath for gangster Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith), he hides his sadistic lust for power behind an exquisitely polite demeanor.”

While the image isn’t much to go on, it definitely looks sinister, and for now, that’s all we can hope from actor Robin Lord Taylor. As the series progresses, it’s fair to say his diabolical plans will come into focus.

Gotham premieres this fall on Fox.
