Earlier this week, we got our first look at Ben McKenzie in action as famed Batman character Jim Gordon in Foxâs upcoming prequel, Gotham. Despite the lack of ‘stache, McKenzie looked like he was adapting to his role quite well, and gave fans a much needed breath of relief that the team behind the series might actually pull of a Gotham series without the Caped Crusader. Now we can add to that relief with our first official look at Donal Logueâs version of Gordonâs mentor, Detective Harvey Bullock.
Leather jacket, classic hat, button down, tie, thatâs just some old-school goodness right there. Logue looks spectacular as Bullock; it really feels like heâs going to breathe some amazing life into the character.
Fox has promised to release another character look tomorrow, but has not reveled who. Hereâs hoping from some Jada Pinkett-Smith action.
Gotham, written by Bruno Heller (The Mentalist) and directed by Danny Cannon (Nikita), will premiere this fall on Fox.
Soooo, is he doing this *and* “Vikings”? Or is there something about King Horik we don’t know yet? Just wondering since “Gotham” shoots in NYC and “Vikings” shoots mostly in Republic of Ireland.
Donal Logue is fabulous in everything.
Looks like Louis CK
J.T. – It was, in fact, released by Fox several weeks ago.
That first image up there – the GOTHAM one – is that something that’s been released by Fox, or is that a Nerdist production for news like this? If it’s official, that’s really cool with the spotlights and the dirigibles. If not, it’s still pretty cool.
I miss Terriers.
