Get Mesmerized by These New GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL Images

If there’s one thing Wes Anderson does very well, it’s bring a completely fictional world to life. From his mind to the big screen, it is rare to see a world brought to life with such vivaciousness and overall quirk. Done mostly through the idiosyncratic doings of its main characters and the place in which the story’s set, The Grand Budapest Hotel — the helmer’s latest — also brings a sort of brightness to the screen that’s become a signature of his style. In short: The colors, Duke, the colors!

All of this is evidenced in the latest photos from the film over at Entertainment Weekly. Because seriously: is there anything better than Bill Murray dressed up to look like a member of the concierge rainbow brigade? Or a boy-meets-girl meet-cute awash in a sea of pink confectionery boxes? To say nothing of Tilda Swinton, boss lady of all things, looking positively decrepit (and that’s a compliment, natch). Some might say that Anderson’s work has become a cliche of itself, but if loving these visual intricacies is wrong, we don’t ever want to be right.
