Comedy Central has been cleaning up on the live action side as of late. With Key & Peele, Nathan For You, Review, Broad City, and, of course @midnight, the network’s slate of new shows featuring live human beings has been both a critical and commercial success. Now, the network is turning its attention to the animation side, which has been kept solid by one of their longest running series, South Park, with a compilation of animated series packed into a half hour TV slot (approximately 22 minutes, that is) with the brand spanking new show Trip Tank. Airing on Wednesdays at 10:30/9:30c starting April 2nd Trip Tank will feature all sorts of funny, absurdist, bizarre, animated shorts voiced by the likes of folks that you’re very familiar here with at Nerdist, like Zach Galifianakis, Bob Odenkirk, Kumail Nanjiani, and more, which should be more than enough to get you to check it out.
If you want some visual proof, check out the full length trailer, a preview clip, and maybe even a whole episode to get you hooked before next week’s premiere.
