Get a Kick Out of Our WALKING DEAD Meatloaf Dinner

This Sunday, The Walking Dead finally returns, so why not follow in our footsteps and make a tasty, themed dinner? On The Walking Dead things are always gruesome, but none moreso than the fate of poor ol’ Bob… or rather, Bob’s foot. Grilled over an open flame and eaten by the Terminus breakaway crew, it’s certainly not a backyard BBQ that anyone’s chomping at the bit for.

Warning: this recipe is not for the weak-soled (or vegans, sorry). Not only does this meatloaf walk the extra mile by being hand-shaped into pedal extremity, but it has a bite of its own in the form of sweet chili sauce. It also features a juicy tomato stump and is finished with onion toenails that keep the whole recipe instep.

Tread lightly, this footloaf is big enough to last through the premiere episode and is a shoe-in for leftovers during Talking Dead. RIP Bob’s foot, and bon appétit!

Walking Dead Foot Meatloaf recipeThe Walking Dead Footloaf Dinner
ingredients:

– 2 pounds ground beef
– 2 cups panko breadcrumbs
– 1/2 cup sweet chili sauce
– 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
– 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
– 3 eggs
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– salt and pepper
– half a small tomato
– sliced onions

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Line a baking sheet with foil, place a wire rack on top and a piece of parchment on top of the rack. Set aside.

In a large bowl mix together the ground beef, panko, sweet chili sauce, brown sugar, Worcestershire Sauce, eggs and garlic. Season with salt and pepper.

On top of the parchment on the prepped baking sheet, form a foot out of the meat mixture, adding toes at the end.

Add the sliced tomato at the ankle part of the foot for the stump. Pour a little bit of sweet chili sauce on top.

Slice onions and place at the end of the toes to form toenails.

Bake for one hour. Let rest for 5 minutes, slice and serve with a side of sweet chili sauce.
