Get a Closer Look at the New SLEEPY HOLLOW Comic

The world of Sleepy Hollow extends far beyond the television series: here have been novel and comic book tie-ins, and a new comic from Boom! Studios is hitting shelves this Wednesday, August 12. Sleepy Hollow: Providence, written by Eric Carrasco and drawn by Victor Santos, features Ichabod Crane, Abbie Mills, and Jenny Mills on a supernatural adventure. I know, that’s not terribly descriptive since that’s what usually happens with the trio, but this time it’s apparently getting “deeply weird.” Carrasco, who worked in the Sleepy Hollow writer’s room during Season 2, used the phrase to paint a picture of the story in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

The four-issue miniseries begins a month after the ending of Season 2, when Jenny brings an ancient artifact she’s discovered back to Sleepy Hollow—a weird hunk of metal with unknown powers—attracting the attention of a demonic biker gang. So in other words, it’s an average day in the office for Jenny, Ichabod, and Abbie.

We revealed the comic back in May and interviewed Carrasco, but now that the release date is practically here, Boom! has released preview pages, and they look beautiful. Plus, they contain Abbie and Ichabod going back and forth over things like hair conditioner. Look:

Carrasco told EW the miniseries will definitely spotlight Jenny. He said, “I really wanted to dig deep into the Indiana Jones/Tomb Raider life of Jenny Mills and see her acquire one of those magical objects, and dig into her world just a little bit.” Jenny is like Indiana Jones! I’m excited to see more of her adventures.

Will you be picking up Sleepy Hollow: Providence this Wednesday? Let me know in the comments.
