Ever wonder what goes into making the explosive adventures of our favorite treasure hunter?
Naughty Dog has released the first episode of The Making of Uncharted 4: A Thiefâs End. This series will chronicle the creation of what could possibly be Nathan Drake’s last adventure. Today’s video delves into the evolution of the franchise since its inception. Several of the team members, including Creative Director Neil Druckman and Game Director Bruce Straley, discuss how past games in the developers’ history influenced Uncharted 4. It’s an inside look that long-time fans will surely appreciate. Take a gander at the clip above.
I don’t know about you guys, but I’m ready to get my hands on this game already.
It’s cool to hear Richard McGonagle (Sullivan voice/actor) discuss how strange of an idea motion capture really when Drake’s Fortune was in development, and how that wasn’t technology often used in the video game industry. Now Mo-cap is incorporated in a whole lot of AAA titles. Phil Kovats, Lead Audio man himself, also hinted that this could indeed be Drake’s last adventure when he said this could be the “final chapter.” Hopefully this only means our hero will drive off into the sunset, and not actually mean he’s going to meet his demise.
Here are the other videos will be released from March through April:
- The Making of Uncharted 4: A Thiefâs End: Growing up with Drake
- The Making of Uncharted 4: A Thiefâs End: Pushing Technical Boundaries Part 1
- The Making of Uncharted 4: A Thiefâs End: Pushing Technical Boundaries Part 2
- The Making of Uncharted 4: A Thiefâs End: In the End
