Geek Week Comic Creators Panel: Big Names, Big Projects

Another highlight of YouTube Geek Week is something our own Dan Casey and Brian Walton did at Comic-Con in San Diego, the Geek Week Comic Creators Panel, a series of interviews at Nerd HQ in Petco Park with some pretty big names in the comics biz.

In this special preview by the Nerdist Channel, Todd McFarlane talks about toys based on video games and gets a reaction from Brian with an Assassin’s Creed item; Grant Morrison discusses the challenges of taking on the task of writing Wonder Woman; Thrilling Adventure Hour creators Ben Acker and Ben Blacker explain the genesis of the comic version of their show and raising funds for it through Kickstarter; Gerry Dugan pronounces his name and talks about writing Deadpool with fellow scribe Brian Posehn; Jon Schnepp explains The Death Of Superman Lives; Anders Holm of Workaholics, now a graphic novelist (Echo Island), talks about Workaholics cosplay as well as his book; and Dan Luvisi shows off his massive graphic tome Last Man Standing: Killbook of a Bounty Hunter.

Now, that’s an impressive lineup. And for more impressive stuff from YouTube’s Geek Week, stay tuned here and on the Nerdist Channel.
