It’s been a slow day in gaming news today, with the release of Grand Theft Auto V Online heist missions, DmC: Definitive Edition, and Ori: The Blind Forest all keeping gamers in front of their television sets. That said, today’s Gaming Daily is bringing the weird with a Kanye/Legend of Zelda mashup, a look at the over-powered weapons of Nintendo’s upcoming shooter Splatoon, and a superb deal for Xbox One owners who have yet to pick up Dragon Age: Inquisition.
Kanye Quest is in the building. Erm… I mean castle
It wasn’t long ago that Kanye West announced that he was throwing his creative hat into the video game arena. As a man who became notorious for voicing his passion for creativity, it should come as no surprise that the Louis Vuitton Don eventually made his way over into this medium. But what if Kanye, one of the most iconic hip hop stars of all time, decided to infiltrate one of the most iconic video games of all time? Some hilariously weird images surfaced on Tumblr that mesh Kanyeezy himself up with everyone’s favorite Hylian hero, Link. Feast your eyes on these “cray” mashup GIFs:
In a world where Link won’t shut his mouth instead of being a silent heroâ a world where Zelda’s backside is too big to fit in any castleâ there’s a hero by the name of Kanye Quest. Seriously, Linkye has to be one of the most unlikely mashups to hit the internet in quite some time. And I’m sure that at this moment, there are both Legend of Zelda fans and Kanye West detractors alike who are getting ready to swan dive into the comments section with utter distaste. I knowâyour childhood is ruined, right?
Good. Deal with it.

My gosh, that paint roller is OP!
Nintendo’s upcoming multiplayer shooter is full of colorful weaponry, some of which is a little more powerful than the rest. If the following video is any indicator, folks might want to avoid being on the opposing side of the paint roller at all cost. Take a look at the vibrant carnage in the video below:
Splatoon is a new IP that’s set to hit the Wii U in May of this year. Many might say the game’s art design is out of place, given that it’s essentially a shooter title. But given the success of Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Splatoon came one the scene immediately quieting its naysayers.
Dragon Age: Inquisition free on Xbox Live through March 16
Still have yet to scavenge the lands of Thedas in search of elfroot? If this sounds like yourself and you own an Xbox One, you’re in for quite a relaxing time come this weekend. Microsoft announced earlier today that Dragon Age: Inquisition will be absolutely free for Xbox Live Gold members up until March 16.
Of course, this is only a trial version of the game, meaning you won’t be able to keep it after its March 16 expiration date. If you want to keep the game, however, it will be available via Games with Gold this month at 40% off.
